Bill and Dawnine, with degrees in Enology, Biology, and Philosophy, have over 30 years of wine-making experience in Napa Valley. They have been at Sodaro Estate Winery since its inception.
Dawnine began her career at Robert Mondavi. In 1976, she became the Vice President/Winemaker for Domaine Chandon where she served for 25 years. In 2002, she was elected President of the Board of Directors of Napa Valley Vintners (NVV), one of the most prominent positions in the wine industry.
Bill started his career at Sterling Vineyards in 1976, starting as Cellar master and achieving Winemaker status in 1985. Recognizing the importance of the vineyards, he developed their single-vineyard wines, including a Cabernet from Diamond Mountain that was recognized by the industry. In 1996, Bill formed his own consultancy working with a number of prominent wineries.
Together, this husband and wife team work with our Vineyard Manager to craft all of the offerings from the award-winning Sodaro Estate Winery.
