Grown at the Sodaro family's vineyard in Coombsville (planted 2000), this wine is made by Bill and Dawnine Dyer. It has the cool feel of a finely ripened cabernet franc (30 percent of the blend), with the lasting spiciness of crushed green and black peppercorns. The texture has the soft elegance of merlot, the fruit the intensity and power of cabernet sauvignon. They meld with juicy complexity, a youthful 2006 that will gain stature with bottle age.
